Some common symptoms may indicate a dental emergency, for example experiencing a toothache usually is a red alert that something is wrong. However, regular cleanings and exams can prevent the occurance of toothaches as any potential issues can be identified before the actual pain develops.
If you have a knocked out tooth, you are in need of emergency dental care. Contact Oueis Dentistry in Ottawa as soon as possible. Your tooth must be repostitioned by Dr. Oueis within 30 minutes or less in order to be saved. You can help by gently washing the tooth in lukewarm water and handling the tooth only by the crown so as not to further damage the roots. If you can gently place the tooth back in its socket without causing further pain, you may do so holding it there in place with a clean cloth and gently biting down. If the tooth cannot be placed back in the socket, place the tooth in a small container of milk and come to Oueis Dentistry, Ottawa as soon as possible.
A toothache may be a sign of a dental emergency. Contact our Ottawa location at Oueis Dentistry and our friendly staff will be more than happy to assist you in booking your emergency dental appointment as well as informing you on what you can do in the meantime to help ease the pain.
