A bridge will require the contouring and reshaping of adjacent teeth. Whereas, an implant does not involve other teeth. An implant will simply replace the missing tooth without requiring your remaining teeth for stability.
A dental implant is a surgical procedure and will cost more than a dental bridge.
An implant involves a titanium screw being drilled into the jaw bone. This screw fully integrates into the jaw and stimulates the tissue much like a natural tooth would. Just like the muscles in your body need excerise to remain healthy and strong, your jaw bone needs the same stimulus to prevent atrophy and bone loss.
A dental bridge will fill the empty space with a false tooth, but will not stimulate the jaw bone as a dental implant would.
Implants, being fully fused to the jaw, will provide the closest resemblance and most natural feel to natural teeth.
Implants can be used to replace one, several, or all missing teeth with the use of our All-on-4 procedure.
